No Child Left Behind

Read the essay in Chapter 6 called "No Child Left Behind". The author does not take any side on the issue she is writing about. Write one paragraph that you could use as a conclusion that DOES take a side.

John Kerry and George Bush both have the common goal of improving the education system for all individuals. Their only difference is the way they go about doing it. John Kerry wants to do so by spending more of the taxpayers dollars. George Bush wants to do so from the ground up. His Reading First program has the goal of restructuring the way kid learn to read. This is important because how can kids be expected to learn and develop if they never truly learned how to read? John Kerry also has the idea that to increase loans to students, they must serve as a teacher for two years. There are plenty of scholarship and loan opportunities such as the ROTC. It is apparent that with the education system struggling, the last thing students need are uncertified teachers who are only there because they have to.

George Bush and John Kerry both have an idea on the way to improve the education system for all. The difference is the way they want to spend the money. If Bush was elected he would like to just start all over from the beginning. Kerry would like to fix the problem by raising taxes, and to use that money to give teachers raises. Why raise taxes when people pay enough as it is? Bush would like to expand the time frame of taking The National Assessment test further to twelfth graders instead just to fourth and eighth graders. This will better prepare students in hopes of staying in college longer. Bush also as the plan Loan forgiveness for teachers who work in poor schools. Of course, both Bush and Kerry have good plans to fix the problems in the education system, but only the best plan will be carried out.

Both George Bush and John Kerry want to make Americas education system better. With the talk of raising taxes and adding extra testing for students it is certain that some changes will be made. George Bush wants to make it easier for teachers to get certification. John Kerry wants teachers to be better trained and therefore help the children. John Kerry's plan of making tax credits on college tuition will greatly benefit lower class families. They will be able to get their education without having to worry so much about money. George Bush also has a laon plan but the funds are very high and this would affect tax payers greatly. George Bush and John Kerry have great plans for the future of U.S. education but it is clear that John Kerry has the better plan.

Eduction is the issue in America's society in which John Kerry and George Bush came about with their ideas on making it better. Both of them have similar ideas to improve education but have different approaches to the situation. Kerry believes taxpaers money should be used while George Bush wants to start from scratch. He wants to have a fondation before he starts building on it. this is the way to go about doing this. Also children diserve educated teachers, not teachers that are inexperienced and just there because they got a loan and they have to be one.

There is no doubt that our educational programs need some tweaking. Bush and Kerry’s plan to go about it are somewhat different, but I believe either one would be helpful. Any change at this point, would be better than what the educational system has going for them now. Although Kerry wants more money to go towards the system, Americans might not be so thrilled when he raises their taxes. Bush’s plan seems more reasonable, but teachers would be drawn towards Kerry’s plan because of his higher raise he wants for them. America needs to think about the consequences of each plan, and base their decision from their conclusions.

George Bush and Jorn Kerry both have plans on how they can improve the school systems in America. However, they both differ in their plans to accomplish this. John Kerry plans to raise taxes so that that money can be alotted to bettering the school systems. Bush wants to implement a twelfth grade tests for seniors ensurign that they are fully prepared for college, and less likely to drop out. Citizens are not likely to vote for Kerry's plan because it involves increased taxes, but if he were to make room for it in the budget than it would be in my opinion more likely to be voted for.

George Bush and Kerry both have plans on improving the failing No Child Left Behind Law. Although, both plans are aimed at fixing the problem, Kerry's seems a bit more efficient. Kerry focuses on getting more students into college and give raises to teachers in high-need schools. This will not only help the students but encourage more people to consider teaching.

The No Child Left Behind program is in obvious need of reform. The upcoming presidential candidates John Kerry and George W. Bush have differed views on spending areas and the way to approach the overall problematic system. John Kerry seems to have a better view on this situation as he is hoping to make the criteria for teachers more difficult while Bush is simply wanting to make it simpler for more teachers to be available. Kerry’s view is logical as higher educated and informed teachers would be teaching America’s future rather than someone who had barely passed the required courses. Kerry is also hoping to start a program to pay four years of a state college tuition for an exchange of the students receiving aid to teach two years in troubled schools. Kerry has several outlooks and positive incentive strategies that are sure to be effective in the program to push the nation forward.

Geoege Bush and John Kerry have both made notice Americas need to reform the educatianl system. These men ahve two different plans to better the No Child Left Behind act if they are elected to the presidency. Kerry proposes to increase taxes and improve the way shcools grade. Both men have good plans however,Bush plans to g anohter route than Kerry. Bush proposes more testing to be done to better understand what has to be done. In order to give federal money to the states he will have to cut the amount being spent on this project. He does not plan to spend as mush as Kerry claims he will. This plan will benifit all classes of America and hopefully help to imporve our school sytem.

George Bush and John Kerry both have many ideas on how to improve the system. Though I do not agree with Kerry on wanting to do so by using the taxpayers dollars. Bush's idea of starting all over from the beginning is much better. He plans to put money exactly where it belongs without wasting it. His idea to expand the Reading First program is a great way to ensure that children learn how to read properly. Both Kerry and Bush have great ideas, but Bush's seem to help more without taking money from others.

The US school system is suffering and needs someone to step up and propose a solution. Both John Kerry and George Bush have their own ideas on how to fix the educational system but it is quite obvious that they are very different. John Kerry has proposed an unlikely solution to the problem by increasing taxes which will not make the citizens of the US to happy. On the other hand George Bush has come up with a couple of stronger ideas. First he has proposed the idea of making every high school senior take a test that will show if the student is ready for college. Not only does Bush want the students to do succeed in school but the teachers as well. The idea is to have well educated teachers that will be able to help the students at a new level. The newly proposed system of teaching students is to help them become better readers at a younger age. While John Kerry is worried about the money aspect of the educational system George Bush is trying to fix the problem where it really lies, the students and teachers.

One thing that George Bush and John Kerry can agree on is that the education system in America is due for improvement. The issue of rising taxes puts a burden on under paid educators, such is a issue that both candidates look to tackle. John Kerry is looking to help the less fortunate families send their children to college via tax breaks. This would up the education level in America as a whole. All in all both John Kerry and George Bush have exellent plans for the future of our country.

The educational system in the United States is in desperate need of some help. George Bush and John Kerry both have different ideas and plans to fix the messed up system. Although Bush's plan of action is to make the teacher certification exam easier, it is a way to ensure an increase in the number of teachers. Kerry's idea is to make it mandatory for students who recieve scholarships to teach for two years, even if they don't want to be there. Bush's plan to better the educational system is one that makes sense and it would dramatically help the United States.

The issue of helping improve our school system is evident on both sides of the political race. Both John Kerry and George Bush have come up with many solutions to help better our education for the future. These candidates both plan to improve the No Child Left Behind act if they are elected. Although they are similar in many ways such as, both offering more money for student tuition, creating more positions for teachers, and improving troubled schools, one side will in the end be a better fit. The views and ideas of John Kerry in the long run will prove to be a better choice than that of George Bush. If elected John Kerry claims he will not only spend more than Bush to help schools, but will also raise the salary of teachers. In the long run, teachers will put forth a greater attitude and effort towards teaching students. This positive system, where students benefit from better supplies and more efficient tests, as well as better teaching is just what we need to get the troubled education system rolling.

John Kerry and George Bush both agree that the US school systems need improvement and both have a plan to tackle this problem. Although their ideas are very different they are high on the list of priorities for each of them. I do not agree with Kerry in taxing the US citizens more to do it. Frankly, i believe we just pay enough taxes already. I think Bush's more outside the box plan would be more effective and better for the US citizens. It is clear that Americas upper and middle classes pay enough of thier hard earned money to the government. It is about time that a President think outside the box again and find different ways to improve our school systems and lives.
